Super Chunky – The East Wind Card

Hi There,

This sweet little image is from The East Wind called Super Chunky. They were offering it as part of the celebration going on at Kit and Clowder.

There is also a contest, which I will be entering the 10,000 Party – Colouring Challenge TEW on Kit and Clowder Facebook page.

Loved this image as soon as I saw it!!! Reminded me so much of my sweet little girl “Boo”.  As many of you know, I make cards for my vet for practically every occasion from “Boo” and the staff and vet love receiving them. (They’ve actually kept every card I’ve made for them and display them!!!) LOL! Does make me feel really good though! Thought this would be perfect for a Thanksgiving card this year from her, resting after a nice big meal.

I coloured this image using Spectrum Noir Markers and then added in a few shadows with PrismaColor Premier coloured pencils.

Mother’s Day Card

Hi Everyone,

Thought I’d share the card that I made for my mom for Mother’s Day.

The stamp is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps – Snuggles and Cuddles T503.

MomCard2016

I stamped the image twice. Once as a mask so that I could do my background first and then again with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink. Coloured it in with Spectrum Noir markers.

Here is a close-up.

MomCard2016-Cup

For the sky I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Avery Elle – Custom Steel Dies – Made in the USA – D-05-01 PiercedCloudsDie.

For the grass I used a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Mowed Lawn, Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Lucky Clover and Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Peeled Paint. Used a little grass stamp that I have to add some texture.

Sentiment is from me created in Microsoft Word and the printed out on white cardstock. “Mom” is from My Creative Time – Mom Stamp and Die set.

Background paper is from Kaitlin – Recollections Signature 12 x12 Paper Pad.

Used Craftin Desert Diva’s Fancy Frames for the stitched rectangle and scalloped edge frame.

Hope you like it!

Inching Along

Thought I’d share a card with you that I made from my Craftin Desert Divas Just Bugcause stamps and dies.

Inching along Front 300 dpi

I used the background paper from Patterned paper  – Kaitlin – Recollections Signature 12 x 12 Paper Pad. Love this design.

I stamped the snail twice and coloured in the base, then cut out the shell from some paper  I had mixed my Rangers Alcohol Inks on and thought it looked great for the shell.

I cut out the shell separately and placed it on top of the coloured snail. Spectrum Noire marker and Prismacolor Premier Pencils were used to colour in the snail.

Used my Cricut Explore to cut out the sun from Cricut Cartridge – Create A Critter – #M37746.

Grass – Cricut Cartridge – Ribbons & Rosettes – #M41AB5.

For the face on the sun,

I used Peachy Keen – PK490 – Everyday Character Face Assortment.
